We’ll take time to get to know each other and explore what’s been going on for you, at a pace that feels right. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for—this is your space, and you set the tone. Over time, we’ll work together to gently untangle what’s been weighing on you, discover new ways of coping, and help you feel more grounded and confident in yourself.

Starting Therapy: Step-by-Step Guide

Getting in Touch
 

Reach out by phone, email, or the contact form to let me know you’re interested in starting therapy. This first step is simply about saying hello — no pressure.

Free Telephone Consultation

We’ll arrange a brief call or exchange of messages to answer questions, talk about availability, and confirm practical details like fees and session length.

Contract Form

You’ll receive a contract form to complete with some background details. This ensures your sessions are safe, confidential, and tailored to you.

First Session

Our first 50minute session is about getting to know you. We’ll gently explore what’s been going on, what brings you to therapy, and what feels most important right now.

Setting Goals Together

We’ll talk about what you’d like to get out of therapy and agree on some simple goals. This helps us stay focused while allowing space for flexibility.

Ongoing Sessions

We’ll continue meeting regularly at a pace that works for you, exploring challenges, learning new tools, and building on your progress step by step.

Reviews

We’ll check in regularly to see how things are going, celebrate progress, and adjust our approach if needed.

Ending Well

When you feel therapy has given you what you need, we’ll plan a thoughtful ending together — with space to reflect on your journey and talk about any future support you may want.

Low Cost Counselling Service

I offer a limited number of low cost counselling spaces for those on low income or facing financial hardship. Our price for this service is flexible, and ranges between

50 minute sessions

This service is for those who don't qualify for our low cost service, or those who would like unlimited, or flexible sessions.

90 minute sessions

Sometimes 50 minutes just doesn't feel long enough when you're processing particularly traumatic material, or are on a journey of self discovery.
